“The time is out of joint. Oh cursed spite, that I was born to put it right.”

Hamlet Ticket Set is fanart project designed for HEJ Fanart Society, 2024. It is a fanart project emerged as an extension of the previous publication <Wild World>, a fictional anthology exploring high school life. Inspired by a chapter depicting protagonists performing Hamlet during their graduation dance, we were motivated to bring this moment to life through a meticulously designed ticket stub.

The project reimagines Shakespeare’s Hamlet as a contemporary campus play. Each ticket was a collaborative effort, with team members carefully selecting quotes that authentically represent each character’s essence.
Unlike typical laser ticket designs that emphasize the colourful effects, this project took a nuanced approach to material and craft. To manage production costs and maintain thematic subtlety, I minimized the laser areas, used matte and glossy UV printing, and created depth through strategic texture and light interaction.
